We are privileged to have a team of in-house artists who are exceptionally versatile and talented. They are multi-discipline artists who are proficient in various types of mediums, each with a unique style; the sculptors know their way around a wide range of materials; our craftsmen bring original designs to life with their dexterous hands and abundant experience accumulated over decades of hard work.

Our works cover a wide range of art styles and media: ink wash, oil and acrylic painting, lacquer art,hand-forged metal, porcelain, carved stone, sculpture and installation…Through constant exploration and experiment, our innovative creations embrace traditional Chinese art forms while staying inspired by eastern and western styles.

XIAO Dayuan, Founder/Chief Artist

As the founders of Zhengyin, Mr. Xiao Dayuan’s devotion and passion for art is an endless source of inspiration for the company’s young artists. His artworks take a wide range of forms and have exhibited internationally across the globe, which have brought him countless honors and awards at home and abroad. One of the his most famous paintings “the Spirit of Flowers” was presented to the Queen of Sweden as a national gift. 

In the late 1970s and early 1980s, he was one of the organizers of a Chinese avant-garde group “the Stars Art Group” (or simply "The Stars"). Being one of China’s pioneers for modern art, Mr.Xiao Dayuan's experiments with abstract painting have a profound impact on young Chinese artists.

XIAO Wei, Artist/Creative Director

With over 20 years’ experience in the art industry, he has created a wide range of artworks: paintings, sculptures, ceramics, art installations and landscape designs, among others.

Being an extremely versatile artist with a command of various styles, Mr. Xiao Wei knows his way around numerous kinds of materials. He believes in instilling life into traditional crafts with modern designs. Years of bold experimentation and innovation have greatly enriched the artistic expression of his creations. His award-winning paintings and ceramics have been collected by many auction houses and individuals.

Since 2008, he has created art pieces for top luxury hotels and landmark buildings around the world. Some of his most recent art works can be seen in the Chinese Embassy in Paris France, the headquarters of China Central Television (CCTV), and the CITIC Tower in Beijing.


QI Yan, Artist

Mr. Qi Yan is referred to as one of the most talented young artists from Tianjin in art magazines.

Well trained in classical and traditional Chinese art, he gradually formed his own unique style under the tutelage of several famous painting masters of China.The themes of his works are mostly classical Chinese landscapes with modern characters. His works are full of passion, the human figures are elegant, solemn with a modern touch. He integrates traditional Chinese painting techniques into his watercolor works and absorbs the techniques of western art.

In his view, he who lives a comfortable and luxurious life can only appreciate painting; the creation of good art requires loneliness and simplicity.

Qi Yan is an academic leader of art education in Tianjin, he is a member of China Artists Association and Youth Art Association. His works have been exhibited and collected by art galleries and museums at home and abroad.

MA Jiaping, Ceramic Artist

Mr. Ma Jiaping runs Zhengyin’s ceramic studio in Jingdezhen, China’s ancient “Porcelain Capital”. With decades of experience in the world of ceramics, Mr.Ma‘s mastery of various materials and techniques allows him to combine the time-honored tradition of Chinese ceramic art with modern innovative designs.

Following his experimentation with different styles and materials, his works have been maturing steadily and have been increasingly recognized by an international audience.

In 2016, in collaboration with Mr.Xiao Wei, he created a famous piece "Yu" for the Chinese Embassy in Paris France, which was later presented as a national gift.

The "Skyline" series made in 2016 was exhibited at the Jingdezhen International Ceramics Fair.

In 2014, his huge ceramic sculpture with the famous Chinese painting “Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival” was collected by China’s Central Television Headquarters (CCTV).

CUI Hongsheng, Copper Forging Artist

The Cui family is well-known for their traditional copper hand forging craft. As a third-gerneration successor of the family heritage, Mr.Cui maintains his own workshop and research institute which works in close collaboration with Zhengyin Art.

Mr.Cui is regularly invited as a guest lecturer in Fine Art Colleges across China and is extremely passionate about sharing his art and teaching the beautiful ancient handicraft. He also takes great joy in exploring and innovating by combining Eastern Aesthetics with Western Art in his creative designs. Some of Zhengyin’s most fine copper sculptures were completed with Mr.Cui.


FENG Kai, Craftsman

Mr.Feng previously worked as a Senior Craftsman of Cloisonne Wire Inlay for “China National Arts & Crafts (Group) Corp”. With a wealth of experience in Cloisonne making, his works have been selected by a good number of important national projects (the National Olympic Stadium, also known as the Bird's Nest, the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse, and the China Millennium Monument, etc).

Mr.Feng currently focuses on creative designs using the wire inlay and coloring techniques of cloisonne. His works have been embraced by collectors in China and abroad.
